A Kingdom Community is where the principles of God’s Kingdom are mirrored in society, a tangible expression of heaven on earth. As followers of Jesus, we are saved not only from sin but also into a shared life with fellow believers, embodying Kingdom values together.
Our core value is pursuing love and grace within our community. A solitary Christian life contradicts Jesus’ command to love our neighbor (Mark 12:31) and the New Testament’s teachings on mutual support and care. While solitude can be a beneficial short-term discipline for spiritual growth, as exemplified by Jesus’ retreats for prayer (Luke 5:16), its purpose is to rejuvenate us for re-engagement within the community.
God exists in perfect community – Father, Son, and Spirit in eternal fellowship. Our attempts at community in this fallen world are often tainted by sin. Jesus offers a new way of living together – an abundant life (John 10:10). As His followers, we enter this life both individually and as members of His Kingdom Community. The Gospel is best demonstrated and proclaimed within a healthy community of individuals growing, serving, and multiplying together. This is the essence of a thriving Kingdom Community.
As Christians, we gather together concerning issues of the Life.
To follow God’s calling in our lives and to advance the Gospel of Jesus and His Kingdom, we need to have a context.
That context is an authentic community deeply rooted in the Kingdom of God. We don’t consider community as an optional fringe benefit from sharing life with other believers – enjoyable but not always essential. No, instead, we regard the kingdom community as a vibrant expression of the Gospel itself.
Kingdom Community or Colony is a place, a point where everything kingdom is reflected into society, a micro expression of the kingdom of heaven on earth
